Question / Help Mic audio distorted

My mic is distorted, shifting the pitch lower and adding some ringing noise.
Other audio sources are not distorted. I'm using an audio interface, Behringer UMC1820. The mic is clean when used with other apps, such as Discord or Skype. I suspect it has something to do with the sample rate, but I can't figure it out. It happens when I set the project sample rate to 44.1Khz or 48Khz.
