Question / Help Mic Amplification

I noticed on OBS Classic there is a mic amplification button to make it so my sound can be heard, but OBS Classic has worse quality, is there a way i can amplify my microphone input sound without buying a new microphone?

Above where it displays your audio devices on the main screen it should say mixer with a gear. Click on the gear.

Next to your microphone you can change the volume. It is 100% by default, changing it higher results in a louder mic.

I found the page your talking about but there is no mixer, all that is above it is channels and sample rate

No on the preview screen, not in the settings. Look at the picture I included.
