Question / Help MG10XU mixer/interface sounds great...except

I just got a new mixer for streaming, a Yamaha MG10XU. Works great when I listen to desktop audio through my headphones. However, this all changes completely when I open up OBS Studio. The audio becomes very distorted, almost robotic like. It only happens when I open OBS studio so I figured I have to adjust something through the audio settings but just not sure what exactly. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sample rates are mismatched.

Set OBS to 44.1Khz
Set the Yamaha Playback and Recording devices to 44100Hz in windows
