I'd like to have OBS recordings stamped with something that unmistakably identifies the file as from OBS.
It makes a difference in post processing decisions. There are a lot of files from various sources that have .mkv or .mp4 extensions.
I'm a newcomer to OBS and it has been around for a long time, so there is a lot of discussion of things like this ... that go back a decade or more, so some of the information I'm finding clearly applies to different versions. OBS appears to use ffmpeg and ffmpeg on its own can write some mp4 and mkv metadata, probably enough to satisfy my requirement.
I don't need much, a comment string, even an altered Title might do. It's better if the application does it directly and not a post-processing app (file recopying). Can this be done? Thanks ==mwh
