Bug Report Media Source [Audio] Not Playing

First off thanks Devs for all the hard work you do on an amazing product.

When I stream I have several scenes setup, each with multiple sources. I have both an intro and outro scene with media sources linked to audio flies that are supposed to play automatically. The file paths are good and the sources are not muted in the volume mixer. Sometimes after I've been streaming for a while and switch to the outtro the mixer will indicate the sound is playing but the music audio does not come through on the stream.

It's not a copyright issue because the stream audio isn't getting blocked and you can still hear the desktop and microphone channels. The problem also seems to be intermittent. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Make sure that the media source is allowed to be mixed to the same audio stream that ends up being on stream. There's a small gear next to the word "Mixer" that allows you to check that.

Thanks for the suggestions Xaymar. This definitely looks like a bug. Experienced the lack of audio again tonight on my stream. Shut down OBS and restarted it without touching any setting and suddenly it was working again. I'll upload the log file and hopefully find some help.

Having a similar issue no sound from any medea source. It does however show the audio moving. It does record the sound so I can assume its streaming too. A workaround is to use screen capture and play with VLC. I am running Ubuntu Studio 16.04. Cannot get any sound if I start Jack. I put jack client in the source but its not working.
I have sound in pulse audio only. Id like to use Jack but no work so far.

Hey guys! I believe I solved this and wanted to contribute - or at least I solved my version of the issue. So I had the exact described problem, I went to settings - audio - and then played around with the differing mic auxiliaries and desktop audios - eventually I got the configuration I was looking for. I had loaded a mp4 clip as well as a VLC clip and no audio was 'heard' though it was playing as signified by the audio bar moving up and down while playing the clip - but just no audible noise. So yeah there you have it. Eventually fixed perfectly for me. Play around there, I think you can pull it off!

Have you gone to advanced audio properties and selected "monitor only (mute output)"?
