Maximum of scene or sources?

Hello dear OBS friends.

Is there a maximum number of scenes or sources that can be integrated?

I hear more and more often that some people say my OBS is reaching the limit and then frezzes would be in OBS.

I find it strange because I've never had this before.

There is no hard limit of scenes and sources. However, every scene and every source, and every filter applied to a source, needs a bit of system and GPU resources, so the actual number supported by OBS depends on the power of the CPU and GPU. A more powerful PC supports more sources.

My OBS has been crashing more frequently, even when I go to YouTube or Facebook while it's open. I THINK I HAVE A SOLUTION ! I have always only had only ONE scene collection, and had about 300 scenes, many with 30 to 40 elements. Now I've started adding to my scene collection, trying to limit the number of scenes in each collection, and.... VOILA ! Hasn't crashed (YET !) . Will update and see if have more scene collections with fewer scenes in each is the solution.... Stay tuned.... News at 11....
