Question / Help Mass Effect 1 - Black Screen?

Hi guys,

Bit of a weird one.

Basically, I've been trying to stream Mass Effect 1 (Steam). Every time there's an OBS update, it works, and then stops working after a day or so. All I see is a black screen on OBS, it's driving me up the wall.

Can anyone who's had a similar problem let me know how to solve it please?

Seems to hook Dead By Daylight just fine, but not Mass Effect. What version of Mass Effect is this? Retail copy, Steam, Origin, something else? Does it happen with any other games, or just Mass Effect?

Yeah it's really weird. Every other game seems to work fine. It's a Steam file.

Really weird thing is it sometimes hooks right after an OBS update, and then goes to black screen again.

That seems really odd. Have you tried running OBS as an administrator?

Hey! Wow, that seems to have fixed it. At least for the time being. I'll post again if the problem persists.

Some games require running OBS as administrator to properly hook with game capture. Just something to keep in mind for the future. Glad it's working. Good luck!
