Question / Help MAKE sure your video drivers are up to date?

I have been streaming for 3 months. Twice I had this issue come up and last time you guys helped me :) I hope you can again. My pc and obs worked fine streaming, I just did a pc update for Microsoft. Now I cant stream because obs says

"Starting the output failed. Please check the log for details.

Note:if you are using the NVEC or AMD encorders, make sure your video drivers are to date."



don't I have to update some stuff through obs? idk thanks guys :) :) you are the best

you can't download hardware.

I had this happen before after an update, then I downloaded or updated something and the error left. OBS worked before my pc did an update.... now it doesn't. and I had the same obs version.

is there a way to look at my history of threads? if I can do that I can find out the answer I think. I had to call customer support for HP or I was helped here. does anyone know how to find history?

You still need a better CPU in your computer to run OBS effectively.

If you're getting a message saying that you need to update your GPU drivers, then you should update your GPU drivers.
