Question / Help Make hotkeys work

How can I make my hotkeys work to shift in between scenes.

I have two scenes
Like the main screen and intermission.
Problem is. I have to go out of my game window to move to my obs studio window and only then my hotkeys work.
Using the hotkeys in any other window and OBS Studio does not pick it up.
How can I fix this?
