I'm new to OBS but can't seem to get consistent results on my sources matching the canvas. My canvas is the size of my screen (3440x1440). The preview only shows part of my screen though - i.e., the canvas doesn't match the resolution of my screen.
I've been able to right click in some scenes and hit Resize->
The base and output resolutions will be resized to the size of the current source.
"YES"
and then it will resize everything and capture the full screen - but sometimes it deosn't work. Like right now, while I'm posting this, I could hit resize 20 times and it never resizes.
I also don't want to deal with this randomly when I open OBS. Is there anyway to make it stay correct?
Ok - while I typed this, I might've figured it out... but posting for posterity and for anyone else that does what I did and searched the text from the resize option.
1. In the scene that wasn't working, the macOS Screen Capture source was "locked". I unlocked it and then did the resize maneauver and it worked.
2. Assuming if lock it again, it will stay this way between opening and closing the app.
