Ok, so that title probably is a bit suggestive... However, the process really is quite annoying. I am trying to use OBS to record instructional videos. I have a PowerPoint presentation that I will pull in from one feed, an external camera from another and an external microphone. When I finish recording, OBS takes forever to go from "stopping recording" to actually stopping recording. And when it has stopped, I find the audio to be alright, the PowerPoint slides to show properly, but the camera feed is just terrible. It is more like someone showing a picture every couple of seconds, than it is a moving picture. Any help greatly appreciated, because I really need to get these videos done.
These are my specs:
- MacBook Pro 16" 2019 - 2,3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 - 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
- AMD Radeon Pro 5500M / Intel UHD Graphics 630
- 2Tb harddisk with 1.5Tb free
- Sony a6400 (either via USB as webcam or Elgato HD60S+)
- Scarlet 2i2 with KingBee microphone
- Elgato stream deck for switching between scenes
Settings:
- Recording format mkv
- Apple VT H264 Hardware decoder
- Bitrate 2500Kbps
- Profile (none)
- Use B-Frames
- Video is set to 1920x1080
I am at a bit of a loss. This ought to be a decent enough machine to do video on...
