Hi folks.
So Im running a youtube podcast via obs in my Windows pc.
But I also need to run a live session for bands to be able to play,
But only have a Yamaha mg10xu mixer which via usb only gives a stereo mix.
I need 3 mics 2 guitars bass and entronic drums all separate track for vst 3 effects ect in cubase 14 ai.
I do have an old mac high sierra with a focusrite saffire pro 40 and mix control...
Which has all the inputs I need. iv been told theres a few ways to route from mix control on Mac to pc. iv tried but cant seem to get my head around it.
Yes I know theres interfaces that can do this for pc via usb but just dont have the money due to long term injury and like the idea of 2 computer setup to lighten the loads off the pc.
iv spent 2 months to no prevail..
Im a hands on show and talk me through it learner and teacher. reading and watching tutorials does my head in and always forget
in no time.
Note. I am a complete amateur to the audio video computer side of things.
Multi tradie/musician/surfer/ heavy plant operations hands on guy..
cheers tech heads and audio engineers and all the rest that have their heads around it
