Question / Help Mac Plugin documentation or example? trying to make my own remote

I have tried to get shortcut keys working globally and finally did after finding something about not letting the app go in to sleep mode (Mac) it worked for keyboard shortcuts

problem is, I can't use an external keypad because it doesn't like to react to the hotkeys unless OBS is in focus.

I bought an app for the ipad that promised to send shortcut keys to the mac and it works for standard things like 'select all' and common shortcuts but again, that will only work with OBS if it is in focus.

so I am hoping to use an API or way of talking to OBS directly, is there any documentation for plugins on the mac version of OBS so I can make my own scene selector for the mac?

Maybe it will be possible to port it to Mac or at least read how it communicates with OBS.


And btw, I see current version of OBS on Mac reacts on shortcuts when in background.
