Question / Help Mac OS OBS Recordings are Blurry (Fuzzy)

So I just recently began using OBS as my streaming and recording software, and I have noticed that I get blurry or fuzzy recording outputs. I have done a ton of research previously, yet I have not been able to find a solution that works for me. Please help me.
Here is a screenshot of my recording settings:

And here is a screenshot of video settings:

And if you need a log file, please look here: https://obsproject.com/logs/WLYl2W07EGfRav2x
I am aware that my streaming settings are weird, but please don't focus on that as I rarely stream.

Thanks!

Don't use CBR, and don't save directly to mp4.

Switch to simple output mode
Set recording quality to indistinguishable
Recording format to MKV
Recording encoder to software low cpu usage preset.

Unfortunately, my output was still fuzzy. I don't know what it is, but when I use the built-in screen recorder in QuickTime Player, I get amazing lossless quality. I would not like to use the QuickTime Player screen recorder because there are not nearly as many features as OBS Studio.

What do you mean? Do you mean what I am recording? If so, I’m recording games, tutorials, etc.

Film tune actually reduces macroblocking. It's effective for live action video content; it's not really appropriate for gaming content. I don't know if it's contributing to your issue, but I can honestly suggest using OBS' very sensible defaults rather than going straight to video tutorials that advocate custom settings. The applicability of those settings is very often tailored to the setup of the person doing the tutorial and aren't always applicable to other setups.

Can you post a logfile from a session after you changed to the default settings Harold suggested?

16:09:17.979: YUV mode: 709/Full

Might try changing that to 709/Partial. Using the Full color space can make recordings look washed out. Not fuzzy, exactly.

15:07:22.818: base resolution: 1920x1200
15:07:22.818: output resolution: 1920x1200

You're now using a different resolution, which means that if this is non-native for your display, you may get scaling that affects image quality.

I don't know if you are targeting this recordings for uploading to other platforms, but most of them expect a standard 16:9 aspect ratio, and giving them a recording in a different aspect ratio will either result in pillar or letterboxing (black bars on sides or top and bottom of your recording) or stretching/scaling to fill the screen, and that can affect how sharp and clear your recording seems when viewed on those platforms.

You can also try adding a Sharpen filter to your capture if you think it looks too soft.
