Question / Help Mac mojave version 10.14.4 not recording desktop audio

So my mac mini wont pick up desktop audio but i can make it do so by turning the output on the computer settings to Soundflower but then i can't hear anything whatsoever and it is hampering my ability to stream/record,and I dont understand being new to OBS how to fix said problem

If OBS is picking up the audio you're sending to SoundFlower correctly, you can go to Settings > Advanced and choose a hardware output to use for audio monitoring (preferably headphones of some sort so you don't get feedback if you are using any microphones in the room) and then go into the Advanced Audio Properties in the Edit menu, and make sure the audio sources you need to hear are set to "monitor and output".
