Question / Help Mac/Java(null) no game capture, etc.

Hello. Working on getting my son up and streaming and after days of studying, YouTube tutorials-- and grey hair, we're flummoxed. We are running Mac Catalina 10.15.3-- We have a Twitch account. We have OBS running for the most part. When we launch Minecraft and attempt to "Game Capture" under sources, "Game Properties" does not appear. When we try "Window Capture" or "Display Capture" and attempt to capture, Java or Minecraft will not appear-- (NULL). Any help would be a delight. We're about at our wits end. Thanks in advance. we figured it out: if you are on Catalina, go to Security preferences, and under Privacy, add OBS as an allowed app to the 'Screen Recording' section.
