My previous thread was about MKV not processing more than one audio track.
The issue went away for a while but then came back, so I switched the file format type to M3U8.
All audio tracks show up, but it turns out the video I just recorded is garbage. It cuts to a few seconds before the end of the video and that's it. The duration shows the actual duration, but the footage itself is just *that* when imported. In Vegas Pro it's even more messed up. The audio's all over the place and the video track goes blank after the point where the clip cuts mid video.
I tried to import the remuxed MP4s into some crappy File Repair software I have (also conveniently named File Repair), and it said there were no problems and stopped what it was doing. No output file or anything even though it said it dropped one.
Apparently all the annoying little TS files which split up the video into teeny tiny chunks are still in tact, but the M3U8 and MP4 copies are lost causes.
If Vegas can read these, I guess I can still edit my video after all, but really? What the hell caused the actual full videos to become scrambled eggs? Funny, I hate scrambled eggs more than scrambled data. Yuck.
