I'm running 27.2 compiled for Apple Silicon, attempting to do a 4K record with the Apple VT H264 HW encoder with the following settings:
Type: Standard
Recording path: local SSD
Recording format: mov
Encoder: Apple VT H264 Hardware Encoder
Bitrate: 12000 Kbps
Keyframe interval 0
Profile: (None)
With these settings recording a 4K scene I'm getting 94.3% encoding loss. Rendering loss is 0.0%. For 1080p it's flawless.
Given all of the other video-centric applications on this device, surely this encoding block is capable of 4K encoding, right? Anyone know what the issue might be?
