M1 macbook pro only 1 logictech camera at a time

I tried connecting 2 logictech cameras into 3.0 hub with USB-C adapter into thunderbolt 4 port on new m1 mbp. A 920 and c610 or something. Trying to add 2nd source does not work. Black screen. I'm trying a thunderbolt hub tomorrow. If I delete the 1st camera source then it let's me add the other camera just not both. I can do 1 external and the facetime. Is it the hub? On my 2009 mac mini I had them each in their own usb port direct. Worked fine albeit 15 fps and 480p. With the 1 cam it runs 8% CPU 1080p 60fps 5000kps
