Hi,
I am trying to help my son to reconrd a session of Liftoff game (drone simulator from Steam) and it runs in 1280x720 with 60fps. I have tried same settings in OBS and at one point we were only getting 17FPS, after a reboot it came up to 42-47 FPS while recording. Given the specs of the machine and GPU is it what should be expected ? I assume an upgrade of the Graphics card would make wonders ? What's the next step to upgrade to, something cheap we can buy used, he just wants to play around and record some videos and post them on youtube.

GPU is maxed out & out of RAM. I'm not a gamer but the in game quality settings need to be lowered.

That said, there's only 2GB of RAM on that card. 720p might be doable, maybe.... Don't know for sure.

Looks like a good GPU upgrade for the 6700 is the 1660 Super. My old system is a 6700k/1660 Super & it was great for 1080p.

A 1650 Super will also work but picking the correct one is a bit tricky. Need to avoid the TU117 Chipset & get one with TU116 chipset.

Installing the new GPU will allow your son to record using NVENC. The GT730 lacks this feature.
