Question / Help Low fps when just having studio open?

Hey guys.

I've been wondering what the fuck is up with studio. It seems to be using 5% CPU, even when not streaming, even with no preview. I've ran different kinds of tests, only one screen, low priority process etc. Nothing I do seem to matter. As soon as I open OBS Studio, I end up with a fps drop, even when I'm not streaming.

Anyone else getting similar results? And do you think they can be fixed? I'm currently using NVENC to stream to a local NGINX server, so it would be nice not being able to feel the impact.

It isn't an issue with classic. Can't remember if preview impacts FPS. But when not streaming, the impact cannot be felt on fps.

same issue here, still no fix, all i know is that my cousin had the same problem and when he upgrade to windows 10 the problem was fixed.

It's weird stuff. I ran some CSGO benchmarks, and in general I dropped 100 frames compared to not running OBS as the only difference. With classic there was no performance loss.
