Question / Help Low FPS on macOS, high FPS on Windows (Virtualized) !

Hello,

I have an iMac (27 inch, 2019, 3GHz Intel Core i5, 8 Go RAM).
My streaming settings : 1440x1080, 60 fps, YouTube, no recording.

Recently i have constated a big difference, when i launch OBS on my computer with macOS and when i launch OBS on the same computer, but on Windows with Parallels Desktop.

On macOS, i get a very low rate of 20 fps (even if i broadcast a black screen with no source!) and on Windows (on the same computer, with Parallels), i get a perfect rate of 60 FPS without frame loses!

So, where the problems comes ? It’s not the fault of my computer configuration because it works well on Windows. And I think i have setting OBS on macOS by the same way on Windows.

Can you help me?
Regards,
Eric

OBS uses OpenGL on MacOS and DirectX in Windows. With current versions of both operating systems, OBS performs much better on the same hardware running Windows than MacOS.

I wouldn't have guessed that the same would be true of virtualization, but I guess, there it is.
