The Loudness Dock plugin provides a dock displaying EBU R 128 loudness meter.

Usage

Click Docks on the menu, and click Loudness.

So far I'm seeing some bugs. I will fix them and release someday soon.

• Displaying interval is 1 second. The interval should be 0.1 second (or faster) for the momentum and short-term loudness values.
• The unit of the peak is incorrect.

This is an experimental release of EBU R 128 Loudness Dock plugin for OBS Studio.

Changes in this release

• Display true peak instead of sample peak.
• Fix frequency of displaying the loudness; momentary and short-term loudness values will be updated every 0.1 second.

Limitation

• Only the audio track 1 is selected.
• Not all binaries are tested.
  • Windows: 0.2.0 was tested with the nightly OBS Studio.
  • MacOS...

If OBS had the master bus, I would suggest YouLean Loudness Meter through VST. I hope the master bus PR would be merged someday.

this is good plugin but is it only showing or can we also limit the sound? do we have to limit it with limiter option of obs?

this is how i done it with premiere pro but -14 0 and -1 but it is ITU how can i know it on obs how much i have to set?

As far as I know, the calculation for EBU R 128 is same that for ITU BS.1770. You can just target the integrated loudness in between -23 LUFS and -22 LUFS, and true peak less than -2 dBTP.

can we also limit the sound?

This plugin does not provide limiter function but just displaying.
You need to have a limiter filter.
However, there is a limitation in OBS that the audio filters are applicable to only the individual source but not the mixed track. To have the limiter on the mixed track, you need to wait the PR to add the mix track or use external software to mix.

• Fixed the dock window did not properly show up when OBS Studio started.

  • MacOS: never tested on M1 mac...
