Not sure this thread is in proper place. Can anyone help me with an audio technique that will eliminate the hum of a loud industrial fan from my audio? I have atr2500 mic and am running windows 10. I do woodworking on twitch.tv. with a large dust collector running in my shop. other streamers have used noise gates or suppression but I cannot figure out how they accomplish this as I have no idea how audio and -dB works lol. What I need is a method that once the loud fan is turned on, that specific sound is eliminated from the live audio while leaving the normal speech. I have seen this done so I know it is possible. The sound is audible for maybe 2 seconds before something removes only that specific sound. This is for LIVESTREAMING on OBS studio to be specific. All help would be greatly appreciated.
