Question / Help Lots of OBS problems - can't go Live, etc

Hello, I figured I would post here first to try to get some help. I'll list some of the issues I've been having.

1. OBS randomly crashes - not too frequently, but from time to time
2. Anything that uses the browser plugin usually stops working, and I have to run the OBS full installer again with the browser plugin included, and then those sources temporarily work again (like alerts and chat displays). The installer often has an error partway through, but it always works if I do a reboot first.

And the BIG problem that I have to fix:

3. It won't go live to Twitch when it says it's streaming - the output is listed as 0 kb/s, and I'm not live, despite OBS thinking I am. I've seen others mention this problem before, but I haven't found any solutions. I've reset my Stream Key, changed my injest server, disabled the preview and reopened, and other things. Additionally, when I hit the "Stop Stream" button, it just changes to "Stopping Stream..." indefinitely, and if I click that button once more, it finally stops the stream (sometimes crashes at this point).

So, I'm unable to stream to Twitch and searching the web hasn't resulted in any answers to this problem, despite finding others with the same issue. I assume it's not a problem on Twitch's side, because I haven't seen any buzz about it (or Twitch themselves mentioning it), and because of the 0 kb/s output from OBS. Alongside the other problems in OBS, I assume it's on my side.

Anyone have any ideas? I'll provide more information if it would be useful. I'm just stuck and can't stream and none of my attempted solutions have changed the situation.

run obs as admin and use 64 bit exe
make it 30 fps. 48 makes no sense
google dxwebsetup and msvc2013. Download them from ms and install

48 is an option given by OBS itself, I did tests at 30, 60, and 48 and I thought 48 looked a lot smoother than 30 but required less bitrate than 60.

I've used 32-bit because I heard that the 64-bit was incompatible with some functionality, is that not true anymore?

Thanks for the help, I'll try it all!

use 64-bit I haven't heard about anything about that.

turn down your audio bitrate, twitch only allows up to 160.

use this twitch bandwidth test to see which server you have the best connection to/if thats your problem http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/tech-support/478845-twitchtest-twitch-bandwidth-tester

I'm not sure really why you are getting this in your log

22:37:34.631: [x264 encoder: 'streaming_h264'] encode failed
22:37:34.654: Error encoding with encoder 'streaming_h264'

maybe try reinstalling?

Thanks for the information C-Dude; didn't realize about the audio bitrate.

I'll be going back to the 64-bit OBS Studio from now on as well.

I've used the bandwidth tester in the past and I have the best server selected, although I did experiment with a few others while trying to diagnose this problem.

Not sure about the encoder errors, saw some mention of them on the Linux help forums but it didn't seem relatable. I frequently reinstall so that the Browser Sources work again, I'll see if anything changes.

I did some Stream Tests with the Inspector, and it seems to be able to go live. Don't know what changed necessarily, I didn't make too many changes. Thanks for all the suggestions, some of which I implemented and hopefully they do help. I'll post again in this thread if I'm unable to go live again when I try to stream.
