Lost PAUSE option when switching from Simple to Advanced

Have to switch from simple to advanced to switch from AAC audio codec that DaVinci Resolve doesn't recognize to a PCM audio encoder that it does. Now I have audio in DaVinci that I don't have on the Simple setting because Simple is AAC with no other options. OMG I've been flying OBS for years on end doing livestreaming and recording videos (YT/Rumble/Bitchute) but I'm on Mint now and I have to use a PCM codec because DaVinci and AAC dont work together.
Is there something out here or some other way because that Pause is very very important to content creation. Cuts editing time down drastically when you can pause between switching scenes during the recording.

Read your "Output" properties carefully and you will most likely discover a yellow hint saying "Warning: Recordings cannot be paused if the recording encoder is set to 'Use stream encoder'".

For Davinci to support AAC you probably will have to pay for their product.

I have the Studio (paid for) version, always have. This is just my first time using it on Linux and this wasn't an issue on Windows.

I'll just have to get used to switching between using OBS for recordings that I'm not editing (straight to upload) and recordings that I'm editing via Resolve.
