We are using OBS on a Windows 10 PC with a Blackmagic Webpresenter USB device which feeds the video and audio into OBS. Our audio and video input device settings in OBS are pointed to the Blackmagic device. Windows 10 and OBS are both up to date. Everything has been working for a month or so. We typically put the computer in "sleep" mode between uses but sometimes do shutdown. Regardless, sometimes when we boot or wake the computer, OBS no longer receives audio feed from blackmagic. That is, the device is seen as if it is connected, the video feed looks fine, but there are no audio levels coming through on the audio monitor. The blackmagic's audio level indicators show that it is receiving normal audio signals. The only way I have been able to get the audio to work again is to shut down OBS. Go to Windows device list and remove Blackmagic device. Unplug the USB cable for black magic. Reconnect the UBS cable to let WIndows reinstall the device. Then, relaunch OBS, remove the audio input device and recreate it (pointing it to black magic). I've tried various combinations of startup and shutdown order procedures but have not been able to consistently replicate the problem (though the reinstall solution will consistently but temporarily fix it).
Anybody else experience this? Any way to get blackmagic audio to "stick" in OBS so that I don't have to go through this cumbersome reinstalling over and over? This is for a church service webcast and we want to get it working consistently so that we can have other volunteers operate the system without having to fiddle with it.
Thanks!
