Hi all,
I'm not sure this is an OBS issue, but I think it may be. It only started after I upgraded to the latest version of OBS and started using the native OBS virtual camera rather than the virtual camera plugin. I'm using a TASCAM US 2X2 audio interface; all of a sudden, while I'm streaming, I'll lose all audio to and from my interface, and have to switch to a different input/output. Unplugging and replugging-in the TASCAM will fix it for a little while, but not very long. In one instance this error started immediately upon my opening OBS. It may just be the TASCAM failing—it's nearly 4 years old at this point. But before I buy a new one, I wanted to see if anyone thought OBS might be responsible. I haven't yet witnessed the behavior when OBS isn't running, but I'll keep testing.
