Question / Help Losing custom rtmp as a media source after starting outbound OBS stream...

We are trying to bring in an additional camera during a broadcast via a customer rtmp (nginx vm). We can successfully add it as a media source and can see it prior to starting our outbound stream but we lose the rtmp media source once the outbound stream from OBS starts. We are streaming to periscope.

Does anyone know if OBS has a limitation that it can not stream outbound while using rtmp as a media source input at the same time? Our use case is using the rtmp as a remote camera as part of our broadcasting of outside sporting events.

Input = media source - custom rtmp (nginx vm)
Output = streaming to periscope.

OBS can handle rtmp as source and streaming same time.
looks like something drops connection you can set the loglevel on NGINX-RTMP
to debug or info to see what is happen

Are your incoming and outgoing streams on the same port?

this is not the problem i tested it you can recive a stream from rtmp://localhost or rtmp://<your_ip> and stream to rtmp default ports to another server
