Hello!
Long time lurker, first time poster.
Normally, I can find a solution to my issues by doing some deep searching, but I'm at a complete loss on this one. I'm having issues since the latest OBS Studio update(22.0.1) with audio dropping out. I run a dual pc setup, with audio transferring from OPTICAL into a sound card. Everything from my gaming pc is reaching the streaming PC. I have in OBS as desktop audio 1, playing the gaming PC's audio and audio 2 is the standard desktop audio. I send the audio from the streaming pc's desktop to my gaming pc, so I can hear alerts and other various sounds but NOT hear my own gameplay from the gaming pc.
My issue is that I lose regular desktop audio ONLY to the stream, I can still hear it playing, but the stream stops hearing it. I can still hear alerts being sent over but the stream tells me the alerts audio stops working. I also see the meter moving in OBS like it is playing without an issue. I'm also using a stream deck, so I can hear the audio from various soundboard things I do on stream, which I also still hear, but they lose. This also runs on standard desktop audio.
I have a log, but i'm unsure what the issue can be. I do notice that audio is hitting max buffer, but my pc isn't struggling to render or anything, and I did not have any issues prior to this update.
Can anyone help?
*Update* While playing around with scenes in OBS, i notice this message keeps appearing:
Warning: Could not update timestamps for skipped samples.
Warning: Could not update timestamps for discarded samples.
A sprite cannot be drawn without a width/height.
Occasionally I'm also seeing: Warning: deprecated pixel format used, make sure you did set range correctly.
Afterwards, switching scenes multiple times, it added more audio buffering.
I do have a TON of media sources, including some that activate when switching scenes, but today's stream I do not believe i switched scenes at all.
Hopefully this can help.
