Hello everyone was just looking to see if any of you could assist me in finding the best possible settings for me to record videos over OBS. I am trying to find the settings that will allow at least 720P on you tube and have good quality at the same time. Another thing if anyone has a fix for it. As a nineteen year old male i sound like i'm eight on video recordings i highly doubt it's the microphone considering i just brought it over Christmas and it's brand new and was just wondering if there was a way to fix it or if i'm stuck with it. Any help would be appreciated.

In the below files i put my direct X diagnostic report that holds all my hardware specs and then the last OBS log from my last full recording.

I would also like to note i plan to upgrade my CPU and Graphics card eventually but right now due to money reasons i'm stuck with what i have.

Stay with simple settings:

Recording quality: Indistinguishable, (3rd option)
Encoder x264 low CPU usage or QSV (Quicksync, uses your GPU to encode)

For your voice:
Voicemeeter Banana

Move your MIC to the left and you will sound more bass.

May i ask why i would stay with simple settings vs using the more advance where you can tweak the bitrate ect ect.

Also What would be better to process with my current GPU and CPU i don't mind using my GPU if it would be better quality but if not i'll stay with the CPU.

Edit : I would also like to say that both my Browser and Anti virus don't like that program you linked me to so i'll leave it alone for now

I'm going to bump this due to me using audacity to help with my voice i need to have 2 separate audio tracks 1 for my mic 1 for my game. Unfortunately to due this i can't use the simple settings and just set my Recording Quality. I don't plan to stream with this setup and just want to record quality videos like i said before.

For that out of the 4 CBR CRF VBR ABR what would be better to use and then the settings from there. Any help again would be of great help.

If you want to replicate "Indistinguishable Quality" set it as follows:

Rate Control: CRF
CRF: 14
Keyframe Interval: 0
CPU Usage Preset: veryfast
Profile: high
Tune: (None)

To get higher quality set a lower CRF. The scale is 0-51: where 0 is lossless, 23 is default, and 51 is worst possible. But you can consider 14 to be visually lossless or nearly so, as the name "Indistinguishable Quality" suggest ;)

Many thanks Storage wise i don't have an issue i have a hard rive dedicated to videos so long as i'm not recording a lossless video for an hour and a half i should be fine.

If with Wallrick suggestion you get lag, you can change preset to superfast or even ultrafast.

Voicemeeter is a well know site and absolutely free of virus.
Another voiceshaper, if you want to try
http://www.dxatlas.com/vshaper/

This is simply a voice shaper
Voicemeeter is a complete audio system with a lot of possibilities.
