Question / Help Looking for simple text transitions

Hey guys, I've been messing around with making my own scoreboards for local gaming tournaments. Really it's just a template made in GIMP and then text fields placed in that template in OBS. I update the fields using Scoreboard Assistant, which is a really useful tool, but I wanna be able to have a smooth transition when text fields are updated, even if it's just a fade out/in or slide out/in option. I tried using studio mode, the idea being that I would update the text fields in Scoreboard Assistant then hit the transition button in OBS for a nice fade effect, but the text fields update in both the preview and output windows, so that was a no go.

Are there any tools or plugins that provide text transitions or a more versatile text renderer for OBS?

Might be best to create a web page that you can update scores on and use Browser Source to display the part with the scores/graphics.

I have zero knowledge of web page design or any coding languages, I may start learning it in the near future like I did with GIMP, I was hoping there was a simpler solution I could use in the meantime though
