Question / Help Looking for help recording..

Hey guys, Im tryna record a game playthrough, I started off in mkv format, converted to MP4 in VLC and booted up in premiere pro.. Not only was the footage out of sync, but only 10% of the video was carried across in conversion.

Attached are my current settings, My spec is i7-3770k, GTX 1070, 16GB of ram, Play off 1 HDD to record to another.

Why don't you just import the video directly into adobe? Why do you have to convert?
