I have a Logitech HD Pro c920 webcam (driver version 13.80.853.0) under Windows 8.1, set as a Video Capture Device source in OBS Multiplatform 0.11.2. In OBS, when I check the Video Capture Device's "Properties," then click the "Configure Video" button, I find that the camera's Advanced Settings > White Balance slider (I have the "Auto" box unchecked for this property) has been set all the way to the left, instead of in the middle where I had last saved it:
1. Run OBS Multiplatform.
2. Double-click my Video Capture Device already set to use the HD Pro c920 webcam.
3. Click "Configure Video."
4. Go to the "Advanced Settings" tab in the webcam driver setup window.
5. With "Auto" unchecked, set the "White Balance" slider to 50%.
6. Click "Save."
7. Close the driver settings window.
8. Close OBS windows and exit the program.
9. Unplug the webcam (USB 2.0).
10. Plug the webcam back in.
11. Run OBS Multiplatform.
12. Double-click my Video Capture Device already set to use the HD Pro c920 webcam.
13. Click "Configure Video."
14. Go to the "Advanced Settings" tab in the webcam driver setup window.
==> The "White Balance" slider has been reset all the way to the left, rather than at 50%, where it had been saved.
I'm reporting this here rather than to Logitech because if I go to the White Balance settings through Logitech's "Logitech Webcam Software" app rather than through OBS, the "White Balance" slider position never resets, even if I unplug and then reconnect the webcam; it only seems to get reset if I go to the webcam's settings through OBS, as detailed in the steps above.
