If your webcam picture is only very small in one corner of the stream, there is no benefit from webcam resolutions over 640x480, but if your picture is bigger than 640x480 you want to switch webcam-resolution to 1280x720.
I use 1280x720 for streaming (as my webcam picture is always pretty small) and 1920x1080 for Youtube where I use 1:1 webcam size.

Just stay away from the 720p 60fps mode of the C922 as you would need extremely bright light directly in your face to allow the webcam to stay at decent sensor sensitivity to not blur the image.
By the way: Can you save manual webcam settings on the C922?
I think logitech totally f*cked up the software, as any setting like autofocus, whitebalance, sharpness, exposure etc. will reset back to defaults/automatic after a reboot of the computer.

I'm waiting for a solution from the logitech support since 4 weeks now. My C920 can save its settings correctly.

I can't see any reason at all to EVER use the 60 fps mode for a simple head shot. There isn't that much movement to capture. It just places more burden on the host system.
