I run guvcview and can change the video format from MJPG to x264 and the quality and performance is alot cleaner.
Capturing the guvcview window and using that a source is not what I want to do for a longterm solution.
I notice I can change settings in guvcview and they apply over to obs, since obs has no way of controlling webcam besides video format, resolution and framerate, with or without buffering.
I noticed that I only have 3 options in Video Format for adding a source: YU12, YV12, or YUYV.
YUYV is terrible framerate, and the other 2 looks grainy but the performance is there.
HOW would I tweak my logitech webcam to use x264 internal compression it has to be used in obs?
I cast live with 2 of these cameras on my computer and the bandwidth I imagine is pretty laggy and the quality is not as good due to using MJPG instead of the better x264.
Running GnomeUbuntu 15.10. Stable channel for obs-studio.
