Question / Help Logitech C920 webcam not detected in OBS studio

When i first launch OBS studio the webcam power light will flash quickly but doesnt stay on. When I choose webcam source it shows as a little red dot which you can see in the attached pic. Go to properties to try some of the fixes I see here in forums but none of them work (change resolution, open as admin, etc.) the webcam shows to be greyed out so I cant choose it.

The weird thing is it works in OBS classic and in every other app I use the webcam with so I know it isnt a webcam issue. Please help!

If you have an antivirus like Bitdefender or Avast/AVG, you will need to allow OBS to use your webcam there. They block OBS by default because they're terrible.

Ok that helped with the powering on issue @Fenrir but now it still shows as the little red dot and there is no preview available. I've tried changing resolutions to every option available but preview still doesnt pop up.
