Hi There.
i'm Alex from Italy.
I just bought a Logitech C920 pro camera.
When I enter the OBS settings I can't zoom.
If I start the Logitech software, everything works normally.
I go back to Obs and the settings are not applied.
I use Win 10 Pro 64bit.
thank you for the support.

Thanks for the reply.
Already tried it, enter the configuration, move the zoom bar, but nothing happens.
The camera zooms only if I do it from the Logitech software.

Yes. i use Logitech Capture for the settings, but when I close Capture, the settings are not applied if I open the same camera in OBS.
i will see the video you linked...

You cannot use capture to setting you want in OBS.
You have to use the first suggestion I gave you in your camera source properties.
Do not have capture running..

Use the video I sent you...You will still be able to use Capture for other cam uses but not with OBS..

I don't understand why it doesn't work...It has always worked on mine,..
Try re-installing the camera source and then try the controls...Sometimes re-sizing the source can cause that kind of problem.

I have found the solution after days and days and days of adjusting and finding out....if you do everything i write im sure it will work:
i just downloaded the smallest logitech program ( logitech settings )

In OBS :

1. add a new camera source ( or use your source you already have )

2. First deactivate it ..to enter settings

3. change video formate to Mjpeg

4.change your resolution to 1280 x 720

5. FPS auto detect

6. puffer to auto detect.

After you did all that re activate your camera and it works. it worked for me that way i hope it will work for you aswell.

Logitech software is no longer used..It's now Logitech Capture. Logitech is no longer making drivers for their webcams.
Also, I did this and it works fine..https://blog.logitech.com/2018/01/03/multi-camera-streaming-with-logitech-webcams-a-how-to-guide/

I use two c920's and they can be controlled individually with the UVC drivers explained in the video link..

Hello, in advance, sorry for my English. Thank you a lot for your post.
I would like to know what is a processor - memory - disk for a reasonable functioning of obs + capture + somethink else you need,,, I am plannig to ungrade my notebook and I am searching this tech info for my crieteria... Thank you in advance.

On Windows 10, my input is a Logitech C920 and output is Zoom. Following a (very!) long sequence of trial and error, I found the following settings enabled zoom, pan and tilt for the camera.

Settings – Video – Base(Canvas): 1280x720, Output(Scaled) Resolution: 1280x720

Source – Properties – Resolution/FPS Type: Custom, Resolution: 640x360, FPS: Match Output FPS

Properties – Configure Video – Camera Control. Firstly adjust Zoom to some value greater than 100 (just to the right of the minimum setting). Zoom functions and thereafter so do Pan and Tilt.

Works for me, hope it does for you.

Hi Alex. I was just reading your post and I am having same problem. Was your problem solved? Please let me know and what did you do. My email address is roofhorse@yahoo.co.uk. Mine was working before and it just suddenly stopped. Thanks.

The higher the resolution you use the less you can zoom.. 1920x1080 and you'll have no zoom at all.. 1280x720 and you'll have a little zoom capability..
That's because C920 is a electronic zoom and not a mechanical zoom like some cameras..
