Logitech C920 on Mac.. lag / terrible frame rate

Hi guys,

Yesterday I tried to do a show and it would only work if I didn't use the Logitech C920. When I did, frame rate dropped to 14 frames per second, and the audio source stuttered.

Macbook Pro Mid 2015 2.5GHZ Intel Quad Core i7 with 16gb RAM (OSX Mojave)

I've had it working relatively fine on my iMac 2011 (OSX High Sierra) - if anything other devices would sometimes get thrown off and have to be set up again during the stream.

Any advice on better Webcams for Mac or something else I should be doing?

You might try forcing the computer to use the discrete GPU for the H.264 decoding:

Beyond that, maybe an iPod Touch or iPhone running either NDI|HX Camera or NDICam? Or a used HDV camcorder and a FireWire-to-Thunderbolt adapter?
