Hey,
I am a musician doing live streams using OBS. What I want to do is to perform live guitar/vocals through Logic using effects/recording along with OBS media/audio/video files I have uploaded. And it all was working very well with extremely low latency using Loopback for the last 5 months until Loopback just came out with there new version a few days ago. Now there is suddenly so much latency that everything is so off rhythmically that it is unusable.
When I use the setup that works best for me (ie Loopback device w/ pass-thru, Logic device output set to that Loopback device, and OBS audio source being that same Loopback device), and I'm recording/streaming on OBS right now, if I turn the OBS monitor off I can hear my real time signal with all effects i'm using in Logic. With OBS monitor on I hear the same Logic with all effects except there is a slapback delay on everything. So if I leave the OBS monitor off, then I can play in real time with any songs or beats prerecorded in my Logic and it seems to work great. The problem then is when I try to play along with a media file/audio/video source from OBS, which is what I am aiming to achieve here, there is the slight 'slapback' delay making everything off rhythm and unusable. Which leads me to think that there is something to do with the Loopback/OBS connection which is causing this latency.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
