Local Stream from Gaming PC to Work Laptop

Hello everyone,

I'm wanting to host some Jackbox Games on my gaming PC and stream it over to my work laptop for some company game time. The laptop is pretty closed, so can't run the game native on there. Streaming to Twitch/YouTube won't work as they're blocked on the company VPN. I'm wondering if there's a way to use the Virtual Camera function to stream the game to my LAN and then I could bring that up in a browser on the laptop.

Any help appreciated, thanks!

I'd prefer a hardware solution: HDMI from the gaming machine, split to the monitor and to a capture card that feeds OBS. Or in the case of gaming laptop, duplicate the internal display and run the external connector directly to the capture card. Audio also goes to HDMI, so the capture card can grab it too, and if you still need local speakers, use an HDMI audio extractor to feed them.

What I like about that, is that the software doesn't have to know or care what else is going on. Some of that software can be picky, so the fewer things you can have each machine do, the better. Optimize each for exactly one thing only.
