Hi!

I use OBS with my channel linked, so OBS with youtube integration.

I had a problem, when I finish the livestream, I use my streamdeck with some multiactions, and the last one is to finish the stream, and it looks like is stopped on obs, but on youtube the stream still alive, but without signal.

How can I stop the live completly just on OBS? Is there a way to do it?

Thanks in advnace!

I don't believe you can actually stop the stream through OBS directly. Maybe there's a plugin or something but otherwise OBS just sends the data to YouTube and whether it's live or not is up to you pressing the button on-site. YouTube does have an API for livestreams so I would imagine what you want is possible but not without a plugin or seperate script that you could tie to your streamdeck. *Just going off general knowledge here, hopefully someone can correct me if I'm mistaken.

I run a weekly stream on YouTube, and I really don't worry about it. I use the stream key, not the account credentials, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.

I start throwing data at it, and the stream becomes live automatically.
I stop sending data, and it times out after a couple of minutes.
I have YT's DVR on, and each week's stream becomes its own separate video to watch later, with just that logic alone. I don't tell it anything except for OBS's native Start/Stop Streaming buttons.

For audience experience, I also have a 15-minute leader so that people can find it before the actual content starts, and 10-minute trailer so they can figure out that it's done before they get kicked off.

Oo I was thinking too specifically about OBS - Are you using "Enable auto-start" and "Enable auto-stop"?

I had forgot about those until just now, I had always ignored them but your reply made me think of that section - I believe that may be what you are looking for hardlevelbr. Screenshot attached.

Weird. I have the other settings in your screenshot, but not those two. Just going by the labels and help text that you show, it works as if they're both enabled.
