Live Web Captioner output stalling when Virtual Camera is sent to Zoom

Hello group! New to OBS Studio. Our client needs captions for a live stream this week and is using Zoom as a platform, but is embedding the Zoom feed into another site (OneCause.org) that disables all viewer controls. So no way to make regular closed captions visible. So I am trying to use OBS to pass our incoming webcam signal through to Zoom. I want to add an incoming live caption window overlay to our webcam image in OBS so that the captions are visible all the time when we send the OBS virtual camera into Zoom (like a regular title or graphic). The caption box does show up in the virtual camera image in Zoom, but the captioning stalls and freezes after a few seconds. (I have noticed that the captions will freeze even in the OBS image if you minimize the active web captioner window.) Looking for suggestions on making this work. Thanks.

UPDATE: just realized that minimizing the web captioner window on the desktop will freeze the live text passing to OBS and to Zoom. Once the captioner window is open and you hit "start captioning", don't minimize that window. Go back to OBS, reposition and crop the text box as necessary, start virtual camera and select that source in Zoom. The trick to keep the text flowing: while watching the full screen Zoom window, just be sure to have your cursor hovering over the Chrome icon in the taskbar, so that you see the little view of the Web Captioner page appear just above the taskbar. As long as you have that little view visible above the taskbar, the captions continue thru OBS and to Zoom without a problem. If you move the mouse and the little preview image goes away, the captions will freeze. Maybe there is a cleaner way to keep them moving, but this works for now.
