Live transmission and HDMI output at the same time

Hi

We currently use OBS Studio to produce lives transmitted to YouTube. But now, at the same time we transmit, we need to send the output OBS image to a projector inside a room. For this, we would like to connect an HDMI cable...in order to output from computer and enter in a room's projector.

Is It possible in OBS Studio? Make a live Internet transmission and at the same time outputs the vídeo signal to an HDMI cable?

Thank you a lot!
Gustavo.

Hello Gustavo: Yes, you can do this.

If your projector is defined to Windows as a secondary monitor, you can use the OBS Fullscreen option. Right click on the Program window to display the Fullscreen Projector (Program) and select the monitor. Note that this display will be a real/live time display, as opposed to the YouTube broadcast which will be 20-30 seconds behind (depending on the Latency option being used).

I hope this helps. . .

Keep in mind that OBS's projector is silent. If you're running a literal projector in the same room, that might be okay.

But if you're feeding an overflow room or other remote display, you'll need to (ab)use the Monitor output for sound, and send it to the same HDMI cable. Or use the stream instead, and live with the latency.

There are lots of requests already, to add sound to the projector output, and lots of other audio-related improvements, but OBS's audio is already enough of a mess inside, that the devs are looking to completely redo it instead. That's going to take a while.
