Question / Help Live stream has glitches when using IOS device and Macbook

I am very new to live streaming and hoping to find some answers here. My current set up is OBS app on an Iphone 6 wired to my MacBook pro. I am currently streaming high school basketball to Youtube. My settings for the most recent live stream was 720 at 30fps with a bitrate of 3000kb/s. My stream had multiple glitches and would appear in slow motion at times and sped up at other times. Would anyone be able to help me with the proper settings? I am just a parent live streaming games for our local community. When I tried to stream at 1080 using 60fps and a bitrate of 4500 Youtube gave me an error code of not enough video. Thank you in advance for your time.
