Linux without hardware encoder, windows has. Can it be fixed?

I have an RX 6700 XT.
On Windows 10, OBS has hardware acceleration and can encode in HEVC.

On Linux Mint 22, OBS no longer has hardware acceleration and I can't record in HEVC.

Is there a way to fix this?
Same machine, just different operating systems. I wanted to test Linux Mint to see if it can replace Windows.

Hardware encoders on Linux are only available when you switch to the "advanced" tab.

It's a pity that this test doesn't set HEVC on Linux at the beginning since it is there but in restricted versions.

My RX 6700 XT card also supports AV1?
Can I use H.264 and HEVC only for the card, and the processor will struggle with the others?

What are profiles and levels?
I have “Main” and “Main10” in my profiles.
In levels I have a choice of 3.0, 3.1, 4.0, 4.1, 5.0, 5.1 and 5.2.

Install the correct drivers: NVIDIA's proprietary drivers for NVENC or VAAPI for Intel/AMD GPUs. If hardware encoding isn't available, you can switch to software encoding (x264), though it may strain your CPU. Ensure your system and software (like OBS or FFmpeg) are up-to-date with hardware encoding support.
