Linking Scenes to profiles?

Heey,

I have created two profiles with differend resoltions.
For example, in one profile I want to show the webcam at full resolution while in the other it's smaller.

The scenes save my source-settings. But a scene created for a bigger resolution (profile) does not work for a smallerresolution (profile) and the other way around.

NowI see all scenes in all profiles, so I had to create a default big, default small and so on.
Is there a way to link scenes to profiles. Seeing scenes that do not work for the profile I am is kinda useless and makes the scene-list less readable.

I would expect this option to exist, but I can't find it and google did also not help.

No not camera resolution.
I have different canvas resolution and create different profiles for that.

Then I create scenes that are designed for the profile. A scene created for a bigger canvas, does not fit in a smaller canvas.
But now I see all scenes in all profiles.

So when I open a profile with a mall canvas I have scenes that do not fit in there.
I want to link scenes to profiles so when I open a profile, I only see the scenes that work with that profile (canvas-size).

There is no connection between a profile and a scene collection. You can change one independently from the other. There is no distinct layout information saved for different resolution scenarios.

If you need a different scene setup for a different profile due to a different canvas resolution, the best solution may be to duplicate your existing scene collection with Scene collection->duplicate and adapt the new scene collection to the other canvas resolution. And if you switch back to your original profile, switch back to your original scene collection.

However, the two scene collections are not connected to each other. If you add or change something to one, it's not reflected to the other.

Yeah this is exactly what I did, but it does mean that in my scene-list there are scenes that don't work in the profile I use at that moment. They are basically clutter.

So there is no way to link or hide them based on the profile and so to reduce the scene-list to only show scenes that are designed for the profile(s)?

If you duplicate your scene collection and use 2 different scene collections with your 2 different profiles, you can just delete the scenes in one scene collection you only need in the other scene collection.

Before you start adapting your scene collections, create a backup of your current scene collection by duplicating it another time and rename it to something like "original setup before I started playing around". This way you can always go back to that backup (and duplicate it again), if you deleted too much.

Yes this will work, I did not even noticed the scene collections. I thought that there was just one collection of scenes. (Still getting to know OBS). Thanks!
