Question / Help League low fps with obs open even while idle

Hey guys, i'm having an issue with OBS. Whenever I have it open, even not streaming it guts my fps. When I stream the fps is unnaffected. It streams fine and with obs closed I get suitable frames, but with obs open idle or streaming I get a sixth of what I normally get.

I tried reinstalling the program. And I also tried changing the power savings on GPU, as well as rebooting a few times. I never had this issue before I installed this gpu. The gpu just came out 2 days ago so it might be a bug with obs? Not sure.

Also, streaming is perfectly fine and working good. I'm more annoyed by the FPS I get in game.

Specs:
Titan x pascal
6700 k
16 gigs DDR4

EDIT:

I've tried using the CPU and GPU to transcode and it's still a huge performance hit. If I do window capture instead of Game Capture it works perfectly and I gain 200 + fps.

Try to use v-sync in the game and 60Hz monitor.

OBS has a problem with DirectX 9 games since the Windows 10 Anniversary Update (Build 14393). You need to wait for OBS 0.15.3, which will be ready shortly.
