This is an old suggestion I am resurfacing.
Layer distortion could be interpreted in a few ways but what I mean exactly is being to distort the four corners of a layer independently. This would be done to possibly create the illusion of a layer being tilted/look like its on an angle.
An easy example of this is the gameplay screen on the Video Games Awesome show, here's an example:

It looks like it is tilted towards them though it is simply distorted to appear to be tilted.
Hope this is something that makes it into OBS soon!
