I currently have Windows 7 Pro. OBS 26.0.2 (64 bit). Logitech C930c webcam. Purple Panda lavaliere microphone. By the way, I'm new at this: first webcam, first lavaliere mic.
I want to be able to either use webcam only in conjunction with Purple Panda sound (not the webcam microphone) or be able to use OBS to do screen capture with a picture-in-picture of me from the webcam with Purple Panda sound.
When I plug the Purple Panda (with the TRS 2-ring adapter) into the back of my PC into the pink "mic in" input it shows up in the "Sounds" recording input on my PC as the active recording device [see screenshot]. If I then plug my webcam into a USB port on my PC, it overrides the Purple Panda as the active sound recording device in the "Sounds" recording inputs [see screenshot].
Any insights as to how to have both the webcam and Purple Panda plugged into the PC using the webcam for video and Purple Panda for audio with OBS?
Secondary note, the signal for Purple Panda is rather low even with the 30dB boost [see screenshots] The Audio Mixer shows a weak signal. I muted the "Mic/Aux" input because I was getting a funky echo sound. [see screenshot] How can I improve this?
